Five Saints Named by NHL Central Scouting

Woonsocket, RI- On Thursday, NHL Central Scouting released its final Rankings leading into June’s 2021 NHL Draft. The lists were broken into Top North American Skaters, North American Goalies, International Skaters, and International Goalies. The Saints have five current or past players on the North American Skaters list:

Zach Bolduc- Bolduc is ranked 17th by NHL CSS after playing part of the 2019-2020 season with the U16 Saints before leaving for Rimouski Oceanic of the QMJHL. Bolduc was named QMJHL Rookie of the year last season. In two years in the QMJHL, Bolduc has 81 points in 82 games. Bolduc played a few games with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL while with the Saints. He played for Team Canada in the U17 World Junior A Challenge as well.

Guillaume Richard- Richard is ranked 32nd by NHL CSS after playing the 2019-2020 season with the U16 Saints. Richard played this past season with the Tri City Storm of the USHL and was a teammate of Zach Bolduc at the 2017 World Junior A Challenge. This past season, Richard had two goals and fourteen assists in forty-six games. He played in Tri City this year with former Saint Victor Czerneckianair (Quinnipiac University). Richard was also a member of Team Canada U18 that won the World Championships this past year.

Owen McLaughlin- McLaughlin is ranked 119th by NHL CSS after playing the 2020-2021 season with the U18 Saints. McLaughlin, a Penn State commit, was a key contributor to the U18 team leading the group in scoring. McLaughlin is property of the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL.

Nate Benoit- Benoit is ranked 179th by NHL CSS after completing his second season with the U18 Saints. Benoit, a North Dakota commit, came to the Saints from Bow, NH and led the defensive core this past season in scoring. Benoit spent a bit of time with the Tri City Storm of the USHL this year and is expected to join the team next season along with U15 forward Tanner Adams.

Joaquim Lemay- Lemay is ranked 224th by NHL CSS after playing the 2019-2020 season with the U18 Saints. Lemay, a University of Nebraska-Omaha commit, played a shortened season with the Salmon Arm Silverbacks of the BCHL this past year tallying ten assists in 15 games. In the 2019-2020 season, Lemay had twenty-six points in 63 games.
