Salem, NH- The U18 Saints traveled to Salem, NH last weekend to take part in the True Prep Cup. The Saints were looking for back to back titles after the event was cancelled in 2021. The field included the following teams: St. Andrew’s College, Dexter, Kimball Union, Frederick Gunn, Nichols, Culver Academy, and Northwood. The event has numerous NHL, NCAA, and junior scouts/coaches in attendance.  After wins against Nichols (6-3) and Frederick Gunn (6-4), the Saints took on Northwood for the Championship.

Northwood got out to a 2-0 lead on two power play goals in the first period. Cam O’Neil scored the first of his two goals in the second period. Northwood led 3-2 after two periods. Zach Aben scored early in the 3rd to tie the game before Northwood took a 4-3 lead. Will Lawrence banged home a rebound to tie the game 4-4. With under four minutes to go, Matt Lewis scored a nifty goal for the game winner. Pete Sterling picked up the win in net to claim the 2022 True Prep Cup.

Congratulations to the players and coaches on back to back True Prep Cup Titles!
